Should The New Zealand Flag Be Changed?
I believe that the New Zealand flag shouldn’t be changed. Firstly, it would cost lots of money. Secondly, our ancestors fought under our current flag. Finally, Our current flag is recognised at an international level.
If we change our current flag it will cost $26 million. With that money the government could buy lunches for children who goes to school without lunch or get homeless people off the streets. Why would the government pay $26 million on a new flag?
Why would we have a flag that doesn’t remind us of our ancestors who fought under our flag. Some people want to be reminded, why would we change the flag? We would probably break people's hearts if we change it.
Our current flag is recognised at an international level, everybody is use to seeing our current flag. If we change our flag it might take a couple of years to get use to it, it will probably take even longer for the little kids.
I firmly believe we shouldn’t change our flag. Especially because of the money the government doesn’t need to spend $26 million. If we change the flag it might break the people’s hearts.
I agree too, 26 million is a lot of money, I think John Key should use this money for the housing problem in Auckland what do you think? But otherwise great job Nikita keep up the hard work! :)
